Is the latter actually <em>illegal<\/em>, and if it is, does it contradict the fact that &#8216;taping&#8217; was always allowed (&#8216;fair use&#8217;)? I&#8217;m not a copyright expert, so I might be missing the point.\n<\/p>\n<p>Interesting developments around: The initial posting that made me <a href=\"http:\/\/peen.net\/2006\/02\/26\/mpaa-vs-usenet\/\">consider the problem<\/a> (Niels&#8217;).
