It only moves at a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nhc.noaa.gov\/refresh\/graphics_at1+shtml\/204648.shtml?3day\">speed of 3mph, too<\/a>. That&#8217;s 5 km\/h for you North Eastern Europeans. Juan hit NS with a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hoogervorst.ca\/arthur\/?p=323\">speed of 50 km\/h<\/a>: if I&#8217;m not wrong, its eye travelled straight alongside the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gov.ns.ca\/natr\/juan\/map.htm\">highway 102<\/a>, hitting Truro between 12:30 am and 1:00 am. I know because I remember that, fondly, so to say. (Anyways, the weather office has a great <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atl.ec.gc.ca\/weather\/hurricane\/juan\/\">Juan Recap site too<\/a>. I was not even aware of that one). Remind me  next time to make audio recordings of the sound of a hurricane.\n<\/p>\n<p>Right. Here&#8217;s an interesting remark made by a Nova Scotian Hurricane Center employee (or researcher): he was almost certain that Ophelia would weaken because of the colder water in the Atlantic. However, he said, (emphasis mine) <em>&#8216;waters around Nova Scotia have been extremely warmer than normal&#8217;<\/em>.
