Actually I ended up at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scribus.org.uk\/\">Scribus site<\/a>, an open source program that <a href=\"http:\/\/docs.scribus.net\/\">claims<\/a> to bring award-winning desktop publishing to Linux.\n<\/p>\n<p>Desktop Publishing sounds <em>so<\/em> early Nineties. You know, those days that a wordprocessor was actually called a &#8216;text processor&#8217;, because after all, it was meant to make editing text really easier. Desktop Publishing, that was something like literally &#8216;typesetting&#8217; banners or &#8216;making 3 columns newspaper-like&#8217; flyers. Ever tried doing that in Word? It&#8217;s probably easier now, but I doubt it will look professional.\n<\/p>\n<p>It would be interesting to see a graph showing the correlation between the use of WP 5.x and Desktop Publishing software like Ventura and QuarkXPress, juxtaposed on a graph showing the use of Word and other graphical &#8216;word processors&#8217;.
