{"id":294,"date":"2003-09-13T11:26:53","date_gmt":"2003-09-13T14:26:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hoogervorst.ca\/arthur\/?p=294"},"modified":"2003-09-13T11:26:53","modified_gmt":"2003-09-13T14:26:53","slug":"more-of-the-same","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.hoogervorst.ca\/arthur\/?p=294","title":{"rendered":"MORE &#8230;of the same&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=dropcap>E<\/span>arlier this morning, at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politicalcartoons.com\">Political Cartoons<\/a> (which resolves to <a href=\"http:\/\/cagle.slate.msn.com\/politicalcartoons\/\/\">Slate&#8217;s<\/a>, so you may just as well click the latter link) I found this cartoon of Mike Lane, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sunspot.net\/news\/opinion\/cartoons\/bal-lane091003,0,5437285.cartoon?coll=bal-opinion-utility\">illustrating the burning of money in Iraq<\/a>, with Bush (I presume) yelling &#8216;More Money&#8217;.\n<\/p>\n<p>Although I didn&#8217;t think that cartoon was particularly funny, for some kind of reason, I thought it was surreal because it looked so familiar.\n<\/p>\n<p>Just a little while ago, they played that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spam.com\">Spam<\/a> (Hormel&#8217;s) commercial on TV. You know, that one where one of the leading characters is yelling &#8216;More Spam&#8217; because they ran out of that meat.
