{"id":2216,"date":"2009-10-25T05:11:35","date_gmt":"2009-10-25T09:11:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hoogervorst.ca\/arthur\/?p=2216"},"modified":"2009-10-25T16:54:09","modified_gmt":"2009-10-25T20:54:09","slug":"games-redux","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.hoogervorst.ca\/arthur\/?p=2216","title":{"rendered":"Games redux"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"dropcap\">I<\/span> finally managed to find some time to play a couple of rounds of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Civilization_IV:_Beyond_the_Sword\">&#8216;Civilization 4: Beyond the Sword&#8217;<\/a> (2007) and while I&#8217;m hesitant to judge it right now, I&#8217;m not overly enthusiastic about it (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hoogervorst.ca\/arthur\/?cat=31\">previously<\/a>.). Particularly considering the current hardware I&#8217;m running it on, all across the board (from the custom dialogs to the AI) it is god awful slow. I&#8217;ll see if I can revisit this in a separate item.\n<\/p>\n<p>People who&#8217;ve followed this blog, should be familiar with the praise I heaped on X3: Reunion (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hoogervorst.ca\/arthur\/?tag=x3\">old material right here<\/a>): I decided to pick up the game where I left it a couple of years ago. Just recently, I decided to move up to <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/X%C2%B3:_Terran_Conflict\">&#8216;X3: Terran Conflict&#8217;<\/a> (which incidentally, is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/games\/articles\/2009\/10\/x3terranconflict\/\">also available for the Mac<\/a>): Excellent once again.
