{"id":1647,"date":"2007-11-04T00:29:34","date_gmt":"2007-11-04T03:29:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hoogervorst.ca\/arthur\/?p=1647"},"modified":"2007-11-04T00:55:20","modified_gmt":"2007-11-04T03:55:20","slug":"noel-iii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.hoogervorst.ca\/arthur\/?p=1647","title":{"rendered":"Noel III"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"dropcap\">A<\/span>ccording <a href='http:\/\/www.hoogervorst.ca\/arthur\/?attachment_id=1646' rel='attachment wp-att-1646' title='Noel track'><img class=\"alignright\" src='http:\/\/www.hoogervorst.ca\/arthur\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/11\/goes_ecan_1070_112.thumbnail.jpg' alt='Noel track' \/><\/a>to the news, NSP crews are allowed to use their own judgement to repair lines as long as wind gust don&#8217;t go over a specific speed (sustained): I see that some of the earlier mentioned areas all have their power restored while new areas with outages <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nspower.ca\/customer_service\/outage_information\/storm.shtml\">seem to pop up every hour<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>Locally, the same pattern as usual: wind at times gusting,  pockets of rain (&#8220;patterns&#8221; as one of the TV forecasters calls them) with casual power flickering. One good thing about it though: As I mentioned before, it was rather chilly this morning: Noel brings (at least) some warm temperatures, albeit for only a couple of hours.\n<\/p>\n<p>This reminds me: Officially, Atlantic Daytime Savings ends tonight<sup>1<\/sup>, meaning that we&#8217;ll have an extra hour sleep.
