{"id":1431,"date":"2007-02-28T22:44:40","date_gmt":"2007-03-01T02:44:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hoogervorst.ca\/arthur\/?p=1431"},"modified":"2007-03-02T22:53:07","modified_gmt":"2007-03-03T02:53:07","slug":"planes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.hoogervorst.ca\/arthur\/?p=1431","title":{"rendered":"Planes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"dropcap\">I<\/span> just read about the <a href=\"http:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2007\/BUSINESS\/02\/28\/airbus\/index.html\">financial troubles at Airbus<\/a>, which are caused by both a weak US dollar and by serious delays to its flagship A380 Super Jumbo (<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Airbus_A380\">Wikipedia<\/a>).\n<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s an interesting quote from an employee at a German plant who says that:\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"quote\">&#8220;We used to build 200 planes a year when we were doing great and now we are even making 438 a year and it&#8217;s still the end.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>So, the question that popped in my mind is: how many planes are there in the world.
