GMail provides good protection against <em>accidently<\/em> clicking any of the links in those mails. Most of time, there&#8217;s no need to open those mails: I don&#8217;t do e-bay, amazon nor do I have a paypal account. Sorry fooks. However, having worked on an e-mailer, here&#8217;s a thought to think of:\n<\/p>\n<p>If everybody insisted on <em>not receiving<\/em> HTML\/MIMED e-mails, phishing would not even make a chance. I mean, what&#8217;s the point of &#8216;receiving fancy e-mails&#8217; anyways: if I want a mortgage, you think I would send a request by <em>e-mail<\/em>?\n<\/p>\n<p>Anyways, for ages it has been my policy to <em>only<\/em> accept properly MIME-encoded ASCII messages (the text\/plain type). I don&#8217;t need that stinking HTML stuff. Oh.
