Canadian pasteitjes\" \/><\/a> really mind <a href=\"http:\/\/the-internationalist.blogspot.com\/2006\/04\/i-hate-cilantro.html\">cilantro<\/a>, and no, I don&#8217;t use them for my <a href=\"http:\/\/hoogervorst.dyndns.org\/~alfons\/wordpress\/?p=288\">&#8216;pasteitjes&#8217;<\/a> either. Isn&#8217;t cilantro just celery but then in smaller form? As a matter of fact, when I bought celery here the first time, I thought someone had mistaken me. &#8220;No, the smaller ones, I&#8217;d like&#8221;. And I used to throw the stems out and snip up the leafs! &#8220;Oh, you&#8217;re supposed to eat the stems?&#8221;.\n<\/p>\n<p>Anyways: Behold the pasteitjes. They&#8217;re not particularly interesting: over the years I found they&#8217;re easier to fold in squares instead of the tradional &#8216;half moonshapes&#8217;. Secondly, I prefer using the &#8216;double breading&#8217; method, which is (once again) a personal invention to get a nice thick crunchy crusts around the dough.
