This struck me as good news, or maybe I should say, good for the family. It&#8217;s unknown how many <em>millions<\/em> will go to the family, but looking at this list of covers, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.3rdearmusic.com\/forum\/forumjun02\/sololinda.html\">it might be quite a bit<\/a>. The PBS showed (and produced) a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pbs.org\/independentlens\/lionstrail\/film.html\">documentary about the story<\/a>, and (of course) Wikipedia has <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Solomon_Linda\">some other interesting facts<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>Completely not related: Solomon Linda in his younger years <a href=\"http:\/\/www.3rdearmusic.com\/forum\/forumjun02\/sololinda.html\">does look a bit like Wil Smith<\/a>, doesn&#8217;t he?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Earlier on the news, I heard that the family of the original writer of the song &#8216;The Lion Sleeps Tonight&#8217; have won the (6 year) battle to regain the copyrights of that song.
